  1. Mix the shortening and flour. Add salt.
  2. Add milk and water, stirring until it forms a hard dough.
  3. Knead the dough continuously for fifteen minutes on a floured surface, until it is soft.
  4. Roll dough and cut into biscuits
  5. Prick the top of each biscuit with a fork and place on a pan.
  6. Bake. The sides of these biscuits should be white but cooked, the tops and bottoms brown.
