How to Make English Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 yeast cake
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/8 teaspoon soda
Directions
- Heat milk slightly.
- Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water.
- Add sugar, salt, and yeast to the milk.
- Stir in flour.
- Allow the dough to rise until it becomes light. This should take around 3 hours.
- Stir in the egg and soda, mixing thoroughly.
- Cook muffins in muffin rings on a greased griddle.
